Simon Godwin (Man and Superman) directs George Farquhar's wild comedy of love and cash.

The ‘Beaux’: Mr Aimwell and Mr Archer, two charming, dissolute young men who have blown their fortunes in giddy London. Shamed and debt-ridden, they flee to provincial Lichfield. Their ‘Stratagem’: to marry for money.

Lodged at the local inn, posing as master and servant, they encounter a teeming variety of human obstacles: a crooked landlord, a fearsome highwayman, a fervent French Count, a maid on the make, a drunken husband, a furious butler, a natural healer and a strange, turbulent priest.

But their greatest obstacle is love. When the Beaux meet their match in Dorinda and Mrs Sullen they are most at risk, for in love they might be truly discovered.

Henry Cavill ("Man of Steel") stars as Napoleon Solo opposite Armie Hammer ("The Social Network") as Illya Kuryakin in director Guy Ritchie's "The Man from U.N.C.L.E.," a fresh take on the hugely popular 1960s television series. Set against the backdrop of the early 1960s, at the height of the Cold War, "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." centers on CIA agent Solo and KGB agent Kuryakin. Forced to put aside longstanding hostilities, the two team up on a joint mission to stop a mysterious international criminal organization, which is bent on destabilizing the fragile balance of power through the proliferation of nuclear weapons and technology. The duo's only lead is the daughter of a vanished German scientist, who is the key to infiltrating the criminal organization, and they must race against time to find him and prevent a worldwide catastrophe. "The Man from U.N.C.L.E" also stars Alicia Vikander ("Anna Karenina"), Elizabeth Debicki ("The Great Gatsby"), with Jared Harris ("Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows"), and Hugh Grant as Waverly. The screenplay was written by Guy Ritchie & Lionel Wigram, who previously collaborated on re-imagining the classic detective Sherlock Holmes in two hit films. The story is by Jeff Kleeman & David Campbell Wilson and Guy Ritchie & Lionel Wigram, based on the television series "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." John Davis ("Chronicle"), Steve Clark-Hall ("RocknRolla," the "Sherlock Holmes" films), Wigram and Ritchie produced the film, with David Dobkin serving as executive producer. Ritchie's behind-the-scenes creative team included two-time Oscar (R)-nominated director of photography John Mathieson ("The Phantom of the Opera," "Gladiator"), production designer Oliver Scholl ("Jumper," "Edge of Tomorrow"), editor James Herbert (the "Sherlock Holmes" films, "Edge of Tomorrow"), and Oscar (R)-nominated costume designer Joanna Johnston ("Lincoln"). The music is composed by Daniel Pemberton ("The Counselor")

London, 29th June - This summer sees multi-award winning comedian Jack Whitehall hit the big screens as the infamous Alfie Wickers from the smash hit comedy 'Bad Education'. The hotly anticipated THE BAD EDUCATION MOVIE will open in cinemas across the UK and Ireland on Friday 21st August 2015.

The big screen adaptation sees Jack Whitehall (winner of the British Comedy Award 'King of Comedy' 2012-2014) reunite with Harry Enfield (Kevin & Perry Go Large), Mathew Horne ('Gavin & Stacey'), Sarah Solemani ('Him & Her') and his class of pupils Ethan Lawrence, Layton Williams, Nikki Runeckles, Kae Alexander, Weruche Opia, Jack Binstead and Charlie Wernham. The series cast will join forces with Jeremy Irvine (War Horse, The Railway Man), Joanna Scanlan (Stardust, Notes on a Scandal), Talulah Riley (Pride & Prejudice, Inception), Iain Glenn ('Game of Thrones') and Clarke Peters (Marley & Me, 'The Wire').

Alfie Wickers is probably the worst teacher to (dis)grace the English education system, but no one cares about their pupils quite as much as Alfie does. Having completed their GCSEs, Alfie is keen for his class to join him on one last hurrah and what follows is a coming of age story like no other, the best school trip ever!
'Bad Education' launched on the BBC in summer 2012 and ran for three series. It regularly achieved a cumulative 3.5 million viewers across the BBC platforms. The show went from strength to strength with series 2 and 3 being amongst the most viewed shows on the BBC i-player, hitting highs of 2.9 million requests.
THE BAD EDUCATION MOVIE is co-written by Jack Whitehall and Freddy Syborn ('Bad Education') and directed by Elliot Hegarty ('Bad Education'). Entertainment Film Distributors present a Cave Bear Productions and Tiger Aspect Pictures production.
